SESELJA FIGHTS FOR SERVICES FOR LANYON VALLEY
Under 10 years of ACT Labor, the people of the Lanyon Valley have endured continual rates increases, but have failed to receive any increase in community services in return, said Member for Brindabella Zed Seselja.
In the Assembly today, Mr Seselja will call on the ACT Labor Government to outline when they will develop more community facilities for the Lanyon Valley residents.
“For too long the people of the Lanyon Valley have not had reasonable access to important community facilities like a pool, community meeting areas, a public library or recreational facilities,” said Mr Seselja.
At the 2012 election, following an extensive period of community engagement and feedback, the Canberra Liberals promised to build an indoor pool in Lanyon Valley.
“ACT Labor has chosen to ignore the residents of Lanyon Valley for too long, and they deserve access to community services like those provided to other Canberrans,” concluded Mr Seselja.
